High Ability

High Ability students – as determined by COGAT testing – will be serviced this year at Hamilton Tradition School under the Cluster Grouping model. This model is defined in other documents in this folder.
This is how our students receive additional support:

Kindergarten - in the classroom with HQ teacher and Instructional Aides, small groups, data-driven instruction, in–class weekly support from Digital Integration Specialist, Differentiation of Instruction in a class setting.

Grades 1 – 5 - in the classroom with HQ teacher, small groups, data-driven instruction, in-class weekly support from Digital Integration Specialist, Differentiation of Instruction in a class setting.

In addition, our teachers are part of a Google Classroom that provides weekly tips for instruction for HA students.


*The delivery of instruction for High Ability students this year is different from previous years. The model this year will be reviewed to determine whether this is suitable as we move forward.
